Call for papers
The SPE Northern West Virginia Section is pleased to announce the call for abstracts for the 2020 SPE Eastern Regional Meeting, to be held September 16-18, 2020 at the Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in Farmington, PA. Papers on technology in the following areas are being sought, with a specific interest in case studies:

Completion Selection and Design, Hydraulic Fracturing, Completions Evaluation, Recompletion, Fracture Diagnostics including Microseismic, Fiber Optics, Tracers, and Fracture Mapping

Artificial Lift Systems, Design and Optimization, Multiphase Flow in Wells, Production Monitoring and Control, Facility Design and Optimization
Reservoir Description and Dynamics
Management of Challenging Reservoirs, Reserves Evaluations, Reservoir Geology, Geophysics, and Geomechanics
Digital Technology and IoT
Digital Platforms, Data Collection and Analysis, Wellsite Telemetry and IoT, Machine Learning and AI Systems Implementation
Health, Safety and Environmental
Environment, Safety, Sustainability/Social Responsibility
The technical program is designed to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas with a special focus on unconventional reservoirs, particularly the Marcellus and Utica shales. The Technical Program Committee encourages you to help shape the technical program by submitting paper proposals for publication and subsequent presentation at this fall’s meeting.
